At our first tour group meeting in Rome, our guide Keith asked us all which city we were most looking forward to visiting, and many of us chose Munich. So, as we passed through Austria on our way into Germany, many of us were excited to begin this part of our journey.
The route to Munich featured an array of scenic views: frosty alpine peaks, shimmering lakes, thick forests, and tiny villages huddled in the valleys. Munich was a much more modern city than those we explored in Italy, but just as historically and culturally significant. And a nice variety of green parks populated the cityscape, making Munich our favorite city on the tour. |
